Ian’s Journey & Air & Marine Products.

Ian joined the family business, founded by his father in 2001, in December 2004 as Sales Office Manager. At the time, the role was created to enable the Sales Director to continue visiting customers, while Ian took on responsibility for overseeing the company’s day-to-day office operations and ensuring its smooth running.

Prior to this, Ian gained valuable experience across both the motor trade and retail sectors, where he held a variety of positions, including Business Manager and Service Manager. As a result of these positions, he developed a strong customer-focused approach. Consequently, he brought a wealth of practical experience and valuable skills to the family business.

In the years that followed, Ian continued to develop his role within the company. In 2013, an opportunity arose for him to take the business forward following the planned retirement of the Managing Director. Subsequently, following a successful acquisition, Air & Marine Products Limited returned to the founding family in April 2014, marking an important milestone in the company’s history.

Today, Ian continues to lead the business, building on the strong foundations established by his father. Throughout this journey, he has remained committed to the values on which the company was founded: a flexible, professional and customer-focused approach. Furthermore, he recognises the importance of developing lasting customer relationships, understanding individual requirements and delivering the right solutions for every customer.
